In order to make the goods easy to be identified in the transportation process, the packaging of the goods must be printed on the packaging. There are three kinds of packaging marks: transportation signs, indicative signs and warning signs.

In international trade, buyers and sellers must stipulate the terms of packaging in the contract for goods that require packaging. Because the laws of some countries believe that the provisions of packaging in the sales contract are also an important condition of the contract. If the goods provided by the seller are inconsistent with the provisions of the contract in terms of packaging, the buyer has the right to reject the goods or claim damages.

The terms of packaging in international trade contracts mainly include packaging materials, packaging methods, packaging marks, and protection costs. When you enter a package clause, you should always pay attention to the following issues:

2. Packing costs are generally included in the price of the goods. If the buyer requests special packaging, the seller may charge for the cost of the packaging, which is borne by the buyer.

3. If the buyer provides packaging or packaging materials, the contract shall specify the time provided and the latest time limit for delivery to the seller to prevent the buyer from delaying the timely delivery of the package because the buyer cannot provide the package on time.

4. According to the custom of international trade, the transport packaging mark is generally determined by the seller's design. If the buyer proposes to provide the design himself, the seller is also acceptable, but the contract should indicate how many days before the shipment period, otherwise the seller has the right to decide.
