To explore the correlation between uterine fibroids and insulin-like growth factors. Methods The levels of insulin-like growth factor binding protein-3 (IGFBP-3) and insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1) in the serum of experimental group and control group were detected clinically and analyzed statistically. Results The level of IGFBP-3 in serum of patients with uterine fibroids was significantly reduced, and it was negatively correlated with the number of fibroids. Conclusion The occurrence of uterine fibroids is closely related to insulin-like growth factor.
