Castle Brands Inc, headquartered in New York, is a premium new product development and global distributor. On February 26, 2007, the company announced that it has developed a new packaging for its famous brand, Boru® Vodka.
This new bottle was designed by the world-renowned packaging design company Claessens International, which explains the brand's heritage and quality. The new package retains the style of Boru's usual black and silver match, with a large Boru Vodka logo and silver and shield motifs on bold, rounded, crystal-clear bottles. In the bottom third of the bottle is a recessed shield with a black background that says the brand's attributes.
While changing the packaging, Boru Vodka's wood charcoal filtration has also increased from the past 4 to 5 times, giving vodka a more mellow aftertaste.
Claes G. Fick, the company’s chief business and marketing officer, said: “When I started working Absolut Vodka on the North American wine and spirits market, I found this to be a highly competitive market and we have not enough share in the premium wine market. It was very laborious in the related market and found that the packaging in the past could not reflect the quality of the wine well."
Mark Andrews, chairman and chief executive officer of Castle Brands In, said: “We consistently provide consumers with the best products. By improving Boru’s distillation from 4 to 5 times and redesigning packaging, we are Launching a new brand. Our new Boru reflects the noble qualities of this outstanding vodka and it will surely become a leader in this wine."
This brand-new wine will first appear in the United States in March, and will be launched globally afterwards.
