French beet making ecological packaging

France's Danone Dairy Company recently introduced to the public for the first time a yogurt box (or cup) made from lactic acid extracted from sugar beets. The basic raw material for making this kind of ecological box (cup) is beet, which is transformed into lactic acid through fermentation. After the water is extracted to form propyl ester, it is processed into polymil ester, and the incorporation of minerals becomes a light and strong material. Boxes (cups) made of this material can be broken down into farmyard fertilizers at 55°C for 60 days.
