Recently, I received a 2TB hard disk from a customer in a hotel in Beijing. It is the black standard disk of Western Digital, and the model number is WD2003FYYS. Three hard drives do a set of RAID5 arrays, which store the hotel's back-end management system, mainly database files. The server failure occurred at about 10 o'clock in the evening before. The customer service staff found that the background system could not log in and could not query any data. Then the network center personnel went to the computer room to check and found that two hard disks were lit yellow and the raid was in a crash state. Consult with the after-sales phone to inform the server that the disk can be replaced free of charge during the warranty period, but to restore the previous data, you need to find a professional data recovery company.
Communication detection and data recovery process and results:
The customer searched through the Internet to reach the thought recovery center, communicated the general fault situation, and agreed to rush to the company for data recovery the next morning. This case is actually a simple RAID5 combination of 3 disks. It is found that one hard disk has a strong knocking sound, and the remaining two pieces have no serious physical failure. Then for the structural characteristics of RAID5, we choose to analyze and combine the data of the remaining two disks in the absence of bad disks, and finally extract the data.
If the situation is going well, the data recovery work is over, but in this case we must also consider a factor, that is, whether the broken hard disk is the last to be separated from the RAID group. If so, then the data we extracted is incomplete. Unfortunately, the database files that have been validated and extracted cannot be properly attached and cannot be used normally. For such a situation, there are two recovery ideas:
First, fix the broken hard disk and eliminate the other one after the cable is disconnected. Once again, after opening the disk of the bad disk in the clean room, it was found that the disk surface had been scratched by a large area and there was no way to repair it.
Second, fix the database files that could not be attached before extracting them. Because the integrity of the database file is very high, a little wrong data page will cause the database to not be properly attached, so the structure of the database needs to be repaired. This operation is relatively high in technology. Therefore, in this case, the real state of the server cannot be found through the condition of the client, and there is no supervision for a long time. When a fault occurs, it must be determined. There are problems with multiple hard drives.
