Custom built-ins were crafted by the homeowner's family, adding a personal touch to the space. The before-and-after photos show a dramatic transformation where the once plain walls now boast a lively palette of colors. The Mid Mod Squares handmade ceramic tile by Mercury Mosaics became the focal point of the redesign. These tiles are a harmonious blend of classic squares, playful rounds, and pops of color, creating a fresh and unique aesthetic. Mercedes took inspiration from the bold and energetic color scheme chosen by Alex and Erinn, aptly named 'Poppin'. The result is a space that defies conventional expectations of what tile can do in a workspace. For our little pocket office, we infused color, joy, functionality, and delight in every corner. Mercury Mosaics’ custom Mid Mod Squares design provided a brilliant backdrop for the homeowners to get serious work done while keeping a sense of humor; and Shelfology saved the day with the perfect mint shelves to display items—both were pieces of art in themselves." Erinn Farrell added: "Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful."
