Just last week, the Northern Regional Distribution Centre (RDC) located in Rotherham surprised us all by nominating a local charity, Rain Rescue, as their official charity partner for 2019. This generous act came to fruition when the RDC generously donated £1000 to Rain Rescue, providing crucial financial support for their ongoing efforts to save countless animals in need.

Rain Rescue was established back in 2002 with the mission of rescuing dogs and cats that face severe challenges in and around Yorkshire. Over the years, this incredible organization has transformed the lives of thousands of animals, offering them a second chance through rehabilitation and fostering programs designed to prepare them for adoption into loving homes.

Each year, Rain Rescue takes in between 400 to 500 animals, providing them with medical attention, shelter, and the care they require to heal both physically and emotionally. Their dedication to animal welfare is unmatched, and their efforts have made a significant impact on the local community.

Chris O'Reilly, Managing Partner of the Rotherham RDC, personally visited the Rain Rescue center to present the cheque and meet some of the animals that have benefited from the charity's work. He shared his admiration for the incredible commitment shown by the Rain Rescue team and expressed pride in being able to contribute to such a meaningful cause.

One of the charity's community fundraisers couldn't express enough gratitude for Kite's support, emphasizing how vital this donation will be in sustaining their daily operations. The funds will directly aid in covering costs associated with veterinary care, food, and other essential needs for the rescued animals.
