Switzerland has successfully developed plastic films that can "self-destruct"

Not long ago, a plastics company in Switzerland developed a self-destructive plastic film. This kind of self-destructive plastic film is sprayed on the plastic film with a special formula solution, which causes chemical reaction with the plastic film, and gradually dissolves the plastic film, becomes harmless material that can be washed out by water, and no longer pollutes the environment.

It is reported that using this new kind of composite plastic film to make bags for foods or other items, once the bags are torn, the inner layer coated with special reagents will begin to absorb moisture from the air and react with polymers with reactive groups. As the reaction proceeds, the film will slowly be broken away like a perforation.

Its other use is to replace the wax-based protective coating used on the exterior of a new car. The liquid plastic added with this special solution is sprayed on the shell of the car to form a white plastic film. Even if it encounters water shower, it will not cause the car to be eroded due to leakage. Once arrived at the destination, spray with a special chemical reagent and add water. After a few minutes, the white plastic film will fall off on its own, exposing the true color of the car.
