Hong Kong has recently developed a parity injection molding machine

The Hong Kong Productivity Council has recently received a grant of HK$5 million (HK$7.80 and US$1) from the Innovation and Technology Fund to assist manufacturers in developing micro-injection technology and related machinery.
Gao Yaozu, an adviser to the Ministry of Manufacturing’s Ministry of Science and Technology, said that the miniaturization of products has become a trend. The Council will develop a fully electric micro injection molding machine for the industry. Through the cooperation of the relevant chambers of commerce, the suppliers will develop low-cost investment. The council hopes to launch a model with a price less than half that of Europe in a short period of time. According to preliminary estimates, the selling price is between HK$400,000 and HK$600,000.
Lei Zhixing, manager of the Manufacturing Technology Department, believes that micro-injection molding has a small footprint, high added value, and fewer workers, which is suitable for development in Hong Kong. Microinjection applications include cardiac medical parts, miniature sensors, microswitches, and optical communications.
