Trend 1: Wide application of film labels
With the increasing competition in the market, the quality and cost issues have attracted the attention of label printing companies. The film label is not only convenient for storage and transportation, but also has its unique ink adaptability, which makes the label color more vivid, and is also more suitable for UV printing. The anti-friction performance of the printed product is also very good, so it is widely favored by end users. Labels have huge market potential.
Trend 2: Combined printing and servo drive technology become mainstream
Combination printing has become the development direction of label printing in China. This view was controversial 5 to 6 years ago, but as time progressed, there is almost no doubt in this regard.
As mentioned earlier, film labels will become a trend, but in the current situation, the price of film materials is relatively expensive. How to minimize the generation of waste in printing is a problem that label printing companies must first consider. It is precisely the greatest benefit that servo drive technology can bring. The author believes that servo drive technology has essentially changed the traditional transmission principle. Its biggest highlight is not only to improve the accuracy, but also the most important is the time savings and material savings. For an advanced eight-color narrow-width rotary press, the material consumption during the registration process is about 80-90 meters. After using the servo drive equipment, the material consumption is only about 30-40 meters, about 50% saved. Rice materials actually mean an increase in net profit. Nilpeter's narrow web presses are representative of servo drive technology. Since the mid-1990s, Nilpeter has been developing servo-free flexo printing machines with no shaft drive. At the 1999 European Label Exhibition, Nilpeter launched its universal printing system FA-4200 with standard components ( Servo flexo press without axis drive). It can be said that the servo drive technology is the first to be applied to the narrow-width rotary flexo press.
