Problems and Countermeasures in Packaging Equipment of Our Army

Abstract: Military packaging is an important measure to ensure high reliability and long life of equipment. It is a necessary condition and important technical means for weapons and equipment to enter operational use and transform into combat effectiveness. Our army's equipment packaging under the organization and leadership of the Bingbao Committee has achieved remarkable results, but in terms of military packaging as a whole, it is incompatible with the strategic guidelines and logistical support requirements set by the Central Military Commission in the new period, and with several military powers. The gap is relatively large, mainly reflected in: 1) Weaponry and equipment packaging is not compatible with the design and production of equipment; 2) Poor transportability of equipment, and the damage caused by poor packaging is more serious; 3) The packaging design generally only pays attention to the safety of transport loading and unloading. Requirements, ignoring the maintenance and management requirements of the troops and operational requirements, make the issue of secondary packaging of the military prominent. 4) The degree of packaging and packaging is low, and the purpose of “rapid guarantee and comprehensive protection” cannot be implemented quickly and easily. The fifth is that the advanced equipment packaging field involves little, and the application of new technologies and new materials is still insufficient.

In view of the above problems. Put forward the following countermeasures:

1) Change the concept and pay more attention to it. In the development and production of military products, it has long been a heavy product and a lighter package, separating the packaging work from weapons and equipment. Therefore, we must use the packaging of weapons and equipment as an integral part of weaponry and equipment packaging work on the agenda.

2) Solve the general problem of secondary packaging. The packaging of weapons and equipment in China is now a multi-headed management. The military is the head of the General Military Packaging Commission and the factory is the relevant head office. With the adjustment of the military's equipment system, the General Armed Services Committee has inconvenienced to issue packaging and combat technical indicators for the design of weapons and equipment. This will inevitably cause "advanced equipment and backward packaging," which will increase the use of troops and warehouses. It is difficult for the unit to perform "secondary packaging". Therefore, it is proposed to establish a unified management agency responsible for the packaging of weapons and equipment for the entire army, learn from foreign experience, set up a full-time packaging staff and packaging engineer in the Military Packaging Committee, strengthen unified leadership in weapons and equipment packaging work, and coordinate the arms of various arms, units, and warehouses. The equipment packaging work will incorporate packaging combat technical indicators into the overall design requirements of military equipment, enhance the reliability of equipment packaging, harmonize and coordinate management, and eliminate secondary packaging.

3) Strengthen research on packaging, storage and transportation technologies. Modern warfare has a wide range of operations. Comprehensive use of multiple forms of combat operations and operations, as well as the extensive use of high-tech equipment, especially electronic warfare, information warfare, and missile warfare, have become important forms of warfare. The logistics organization system, distribution type material security system, three-dimensional strategic delivery system, and leapfrog protection and accompanying guarantees are the main modes of logistical support for our military. Therefore, first of all, we must focus on the research of unit assembly packaging, pallet packaging, container assembly technology, and combination packaging. Second, we must conduct research on the storage of weapons and equipment under field conditions, carry out requirements for the integration of storage, assembly, supply, and mobility, and develop a new generation of weaponry storage, storage, and mobility support units to form a mobile security base.

4) Improve the protective function of military packaging, and increase efforts to carry out research on the application of new packaging technologies and materials. High-tech warfare has the characteristics of large depth, all-weather, all-round, land, sea, air, electricity, and magnetic. The protection of weapons and equipment is not only limited to traditional moisture protection and rust prevention, but also to electromagnetic considerations. , radiation and other new environments destroy weapons and equipment. therefore. Single protective packaging can no longer meet the protective function of the packaging. We must pay attention to the study of various stealthy functional materials, conductive functional materials, optical functional materials, moisture-proof and antistatic composite membrane materials, anti-static buffer materials, and the application of nanotechnology in weapons and equipment packaging to occupy the commanding height of functional packaging materials.
