With the rapid development of our country's economy, college education has severely restricted the further development of packaging education in our school. Developing higher-level education has become a top priority. Due to various reasons, the application for undergraduate education in our college has not been supported by the college and it has caused a suspension of enrollment. In view of this fact, the teaching and research section has developed a postgraduate level education in packaging, without renouncing the application for undergraduate education, relying on the master degree in Light Industry Machinery of our hospital. Since 1993, a total of 10 years of packaging master students have been continuously trained. These students have gradually become the backbone of China's packaging industry and packaging education industry. At the same time, seeking to jointly run schools with some key universities, the professor of our institute has trained several doctoral students in the packaging direction as associate doctors and guides. This laid a good foundation for our college to develop the undergraduate level packaging education later.
2 Frustration and Cause Analysis
Since recruiting the first college students in 1981 and sending them to the final college students in 1998, our school's packaging engineering program has gone through 11 years of extraordinary years. In the days of suspension of rectification, the teaching and research section conducted a follow-up survey of a large number of graduates, studied the dynamics of the packaging market, and rethought and summarized the past:

The vicious circle of enrollment and employment is the primary reason that leads the college to stop recruiting and rectify the packaging profession.
b. The limitation of professional understanding of leadership is one of the reasons for professional suspension. The low level of education has made us realize the urgency and importance of raising the level of running a school. Many applications to the college for undergraduate education have repeatedly failed to respond. Academic leaders believe that there are not many packaging companies in Hubei at the time, and college students are not well distributed. Enrolling undergraduates also faces the same problems. c. The lack of funding for education has restricted the further development of the profession. d. The unclear characteristics of the school's direction are also the reason for the cover. The packaging profession is a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary, marginal discipline; the knowledge involved is broad and comprehensive. At the beginning, training in the way of general education was not a matter of time because of short duration, which led to poor adaptability of graduates; the ability to solve practical problems was not strong; later, the training objectives were further defined, and students’ abilities were greatly improved. 3 In the face of the new situation, we strive to create a new bureau for packaging engineering in our hospital

What is gratifying is that there are many subjects related to packaging engineering disciplines in our hospital. The resources of industrial design, polymer materials and metal materials, light industrial machinery, testing technology and other disciplines can be used by us. Faculty leaders now attach great importance to the construction of packaging engineering. The college’s teaching investment in packaging engineering has increased significantly. The construction of packaging engineering has entered the fast lane, and all construction work has been carried out in an orderly manner. .
In recent years, the academic education of teachers in the packaging teaching and research section has been greatly improved. There are currently 2 Ph.Ds and 3 PhD candidates. We have research projects such as the research on the forming mechanism of corrugated board of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the reliability design of the heterogeneous buffer packaging structure of the National Ministry of Education, the project funded by the National Ministry of Education, and the research on the simulation technology of buffer packaging for the Natural Science Foundation of Hubei Province.
