There are two types of corrugated box type tests. Stacking test and vertical impact drop test.

According to the test rules, a type test is required when the following conditions occur:

1 Changes in raw materials, design structures and processing techniques used to make corrugated boxes;

2 The supply and demand parties shall put forward requirements in the processing contract;

3 When other situations require type testing.

For type test according to the provisions of GB4857.2, the selected sample needs to be treated at a temperature of 23±2°C and a relative humidity of 50%±5% for 24 hours, and tested under such environmental conditions.

One, stacking test

The stacking test is actually also a stress test. The selected sample box is placed on a horizontal plane and a standard weight load calculated on the top of the corrugated box sample is applied to the plate. According to the rules, observe the actual carrying capacity of the sample box within 24 hours.

Stacking test standard weight value calculation formula:

M0=k(H/h-1)×M1...

In the formula: M0-Total stacking mass applied on corrugated boxes, kg

M1 - single package gross weight; kg

H:-stack height; m

h:- Corrugated box scale; m

k:-deterioration coefficient (see Table 25)

H/h: - Fetch the number of digits (rules see the requirements of pressure test)

The basic rules for stack height test:

1 Select a good horizontal plane for testing, and at the same time require firmness and meet the stacking area of the tested sample box;

2 They must be filled with physical or simulated objects. When using simulated objects, they must be close to or similar to the actual object.

3 According to the conventional requirements for the enclosure of the measured box;

4 Numbered registration of the test sample box.

The duration of the stack height test (see Table 26):

Storage and transportation methods Basic values Applicable range Highway 24 hours 2.5m1-7 days 1.5-3.5m Railway 24 hours 2.5m1-7 days 1.5-3.5m Water routes 1-7 days 3.5m1-28 days 3.5-7m Storage 1-7 days 3.5 M1-28 days 1.5-7m

The criteria for the qualification of the stacking test: The tested sample is not collapsed or damaged under the specified standard conditions. The test is qualified; if one of the sample boxes fails, the test is judged as unqualified.

Second, vertical impact drop test

The vertical impact drop test is actually a case where the corrugated box to be measured is free to fall on a certain device without any external force, and different placement positions of the corrugated box to be measured are taken to make it different The position is free to fall on the impact surface at a certain height, and its state after vertical impact is observed.

The vertical impact drop test made a face drop, edge drop and angle drop of the corrugated box.

Similarly, three sample boxes were selected and pre-treated for 24 hours at an ambient temperature of 23±2° C. and a relative humidity of 50%±5%, and the test was performed under the same environmental conditions.

Basic rules for vertical impact drop tests:

1 The sample box must be filled with simulants similar to or in kind.

2 Enclose the sample box as usual;

When falling on 3 sides, the falling surface is parallel to the impact surface, and the maximum angle between them is no more than 2°;

When the edge falls, the falling edge is parallel to the horizontal plane, and the maximum angle between the edges is no more than 2°;

When the angle falls, the error between the included angle of at least two planes constituting this angle and the impact surface is not more than ±5° or 10% of the included angle;

6 Lift the test sample box to the desired drop height position. The difference between the lift height and the predetermined height must not exceed ±2%.

The relationship between drop height of vertical impact drop test, package quality and mode of transport (Table 27):

The criterion for the vertical impact drop test compliance is that the tested sample box is not damaged and the contents are not leaked. This test is qualified. One of the sample boxes failed and the test failed.

Third, the type tests are all qualified, and the type inspection critique is qualified. If there is a failure, the batch type test is judged as unqualified.

Both tests were qualified and the type test was judged as qualified. If there is a failure, the batch type test is judged as unqualified.
